Checklist
Welcome to Las Marías!
We’d like to share a few helpful tips to ensure the house runs smoothly, stays in great condition, and remains energy-efficient and environmentally friendly.
Suitcases:
Please avoid placing wheeled suitcases on the beds with white sheets, as they can leave stains that are almost impossible to remove.
Each room has a luggage rack. If you don’t see one, feel free to ask any member of our team.
Beach days:
If you’re heading to the beach and enjoy walking barefoot (which is great for your health!), we kindly ask that you try to leave as much sand as possible at the beach. There are foot showers available for this.
Using the indoor showers to rinse off sand can unfortunately damage the plumbing and cause serious issues.
Towels:
Please don’t leave wet or damp towels on the wooden railings or any wooden surface, as it can cause damage.
A great spot to hang them is on the rooftop terrace, where you'll find clotheslines and clothespins ready for you to use.
Makeup:
We kindly ask that you avoid using the white towels to remove makeup, as it can leave permanent stains. For your convenience, tissues are provided in each room — these are a much better option for makeup removal.
Bathrooms:
The bathrooms in the Anglondia and Mary’s room currently don’t have windows or extractor fans.
To help with ventilation, it’s important to leave the bathroom doors open after showering.
Rooftop taps:
If you use the rooftop water taps and turn on the wall valve, please remember to turn it off afterward. Even if it looks closed, it can still leak and cause damage if left open.
Gardening:
If any of you enjoy gardening, we’d love your help watering or tending to the plants — we really appreciate it!
Windows:
Please make sure all windows are closed before leaving the house. Cádiz is known for its strong winds, which can suddenly blow open windows or even damage them.
Doors and lights:
Before heading out, please make sure the doors are closed and the rooftop lights are turned off. This helps us with both safety and energy savings.
Air conditioning:
If you’re using the AC, please keep the room doors closed. And remember to turn it off when you leave the room or the house.
Thank you so much for your cooperation! It truly means a lot to us.
We hope you have a wonderful stay!
